2009 AGM Update & Introduction of AGM Committee

Peter Bernard gave an update on what’s happening with the 2009 AGM and introduced those committee members in attendance.  Richard Mason is the latest Blue Mountains member to join the team as Treasurer and Tony Lauer is on board as Security Director.   He also showed us the shirts that have been approved and they got the nod of approval.

Penrith Council have given us $35,000 in cash and $60,000 in kind donations, NSW Tourism have given us a $3,000 donation.

Excitement is building and things will really start happening after Townsville.

Peter thanked Blue Mountains for their support and on going commitment.

The ride calendar

Seven people attended the meeting for this so thanks to those who took the time.

A ride calendar has been put together for the next 3 months with some changes so please check starting times and starting points

With four ride leaders in attendance it was difficult to organise a ride calendar and keep everyone happy.

A new idea for Rider’s choice is being trialled - meet at Mountain Blue Springwood or Mountain High Pies Wentworth Falls for coffee and decide on a ride for the day or just have breakfast and go home.

If the lack of interest in the ride calendar continues we may have to cut back club rides to two a month.

Bowling with Hawkesbury - 27th April

We won!!! again

Julie was the only female bowling from our branch so thanks to the ladies from Nepean for making up the ladies team.

Thanks to the other bums who showed up and Tony’s sons and the Nepean members who padded out the numbers.

Jim & Frances attended the Beardies Festival in Glenn Innes in Nov and won 2nd prize in the Show and Shine - first prize went to a Goldwing (Ron from Mudgee for those who know him) with 67 accessories (according to Jim)

The committee wishes everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.

Yes - it’s on again.  We are asking members to assist if they can to make this night another great event on our calendar.

We need sponsors, prizes etc, anyone who can seek out local business willing to offer prizes/ sponsorship etc would be most appreciated.  All sponsors receive a certificate of appreciation, advertising material put out on the night, space on the night and web links - size depending on the amount/level of sponsorship as well as two free tickets.

Anyone interested in being on a sub committee to assist with organisation is welcome.

To clarify how the money is distributed from the event - door takings go to club, monies raised from raffles, auctions, heads & tails and coin tosses etc go to Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Funds

At the AGM in Coffs we were presented with the Jo Dearnley Award for monies raised for Arthritis on this night - let’s see if we can do it again.
